Mary Lynn Peterson, President
As co-founder and president of CM Construction since its inception in 1992, Mary has been instrumental in guiding CM Construction from a small startup into one of the most efficient building contractor business models in the country. Mary also serves as the company controller.
Mary began her business experience as the owner of multiple hairstyling businesses in southern Minnesota after graduation from Cosmetology and Business school. Mary and her husband Chuck have lived in Lakeville, MN for over twenty years, where they raised their children Michelle, Krista and Collin.
Jeff Sandnas, Project Manager
As one of the industry’s top project managers, Jeff has over 25 years experience in architectural design, general contracting, design/build, real estate sales, and property development. His education includes degrees in Architectural Design, Construction Management and Architecture. Jeff has managed projects worth over $275 million.
Jim Oliver, Project Manager
Jim’s 17 years experience in construction and project management in residential and commercial construction have taught him that organization and communication are the key to successful projects. With over $100 million in construction projects under his belt, Jim’s reputation for keeping contractors, team members and clients informed has made him a valuable part of the CM Construction team. Jim holds a degree in Construction Management.
Chuck M. Peterson, Vice President
Chuck is co-founder and has been Vice President since CM Construction's inception. He has been responsible for construction operations as the company has grown from a small startup to one of the most respected and successful general contracting firms. Chuck's vast business experience began in 1974 when he worked for engineering and architectural firms on projects throughout the United States, Europe and the Far East. Early on, Chuck earned respect for his successful handling of Construction Management services in central and southern Minnesota and general contracting for firms that handled both private and public work projects. Chuck has taken the lead on over $800 million in construction.
Chuck’s education includes a background in Construction Management/Business, Engineering Science, and Building Design Technology.
Along with his duties as Vice President, Chuck often serves as Project Manager, prepares bids, administers projects and handles closeouts.
Chris Johnson, Project Manager
In his 18 years experience managing construction projects, Chris has become one of the industry’s premiere problem solvers. Utilizing his skills for a variety of clients in education, institutional and private projects, Chris is known for his ability to find successful alternative solutions to the complex problems that frequently pop up in construction projects. Chris has a degree in Construction Management and has managed over $150 million in construction projects.
